Animaatiokone runs on any desktop or laptop PC with a camera connected to it!

You may use a USB camera or a DV camera connected via Firewire (IEEE 1394).
You can connect analog video cameras (VHS, SVHS, Beta) using a compatible editing card or TV tuner card.

The basic user interface consists of timeline,
playback and camera windows, as shown in the figure abowe.
Capturing and deleting frames is done in a very straightforward manner.
Onion skinning (shown in bottom-right picture) combines camera picture
with up to two other pictures to help create smooth movement.

Quick preview during animating and full screen playback are
easily available at all times.

There is hidden functionality behind the appealing and colourfull user interface,
which helps user to control timeline,
change camera options, adjust capture and preview quality etc etc. All basic features
mentioned above are available at all times, while more detailed options are hidden
behind the windows bar.

You can adjust the capture quality from the Camera/Capture format menu.
If you select a high resolution, your hard drive will probably be too
slow for playback at high frame rates. Change the playback quality to a lower setting.
This way you can capture and view the frames at full quality, but the resolution
will be reduced during playback.
